Frequently Asked Questions
Can I apply a clear coat over this graphic for extra protection?
Yes, these OEM decals are compatible with clear-coating processes. We recommend applying several thin mist coats initially to protect the vinyl from solvent reactions. Once clear-coated, the graphic becomes a permanent part of the panel's finish, offering maximum durability against the elements and fuel vapors.
Should I use a wet or dry application method for this tank decal?
For larger tank graphics, a wet application using a mild water and soap solution is often preferred as it allows for repositioning for several minutes. Smaller decals can be applied dry for immediate adhesion. For best results, ensure the ambient temperature is between 18-25°C during installation.
Always ensure the surface is decontaminated with isopropyl alcohol before application to remove any wax or residue that might hinder adhesive bonding.
* If this decal is listed under multiple models or versions, the exact mounting location may vary slightly.
