Frequently Asked Questions
What makes OEM decals better than aftermarket options?
Genuine OEM decals are manufactured using high-grade cast vinyl and specialized inks that are color-matched to the factory's exact specifications. Unlike generic alternatives, these graphics are cut using the original manufacturer's die tooling, ensuring that the dimensions and adhesive properties meet the rigorous standards required for high-performance motorcycles.
Can I apply a clear coat over this fuel tank decal?
Yes, these factory graphics can be clear-coated for enhanced protection against the elements. It is recommended to apply several light mist coats initially to prevent the solvents in the paint from reacting with the vinyl. Please note that once clear-coated, the decal becomes a permanent part of the bodywork's finish.
For the best results, thoroughly clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol and use the hinge method to ensure perfect alignment during application.
* If this decal is listed under multiple models or versions, the exact mounting location may vary slightly.
